Muddler Minnow.

Developed in America back in the 1950s by Don Gappen to imitate a small bait fish know as a Gudgeon, this pattern in small versions has been used as hopper patterns and moth patterns when fished on the surface. The Muddler, when tied all black with a silver body, is a great nighttime fly and has taken so very many large fish.
