Welcome to Mick Hall's Fly Box page.

This is an index to the 35 pages which provide info on the flies Mick builds in the Masterclass 1, 2 & 3 and Saltwater Fly Tying Methods 1 & 2. They are listed in degree of difficulty or complexity and each page has a description of the fly and it's popular usage. The stills of the finished flies are taken from the DVDs.

The freshwater flies in Masterclass 1 & 2 also have the major build stages shown in frames taken from the animated sequences at the start of the assembly process. This is one of the unique features of the Mssterclass series which also includes an animated sequence on hooks and hook proportions. These important proportions are noted in the grid drawn behind each of the build stage graphics. Making Mayflies (Masterclass 3 ) is a double DVD that features many still close up images of the life cycle of the mayfly.

Some of these pages are densely packed with images but we're sure they're worth the wait to download. If you like work in Mick's Fly Box then you'll love the videos themselves - Mick is a great teacher.
