Brown Nymph.

This pattern is representation of the mayfly nymph of the crawling family known as Leptophlebiidae and is found in many parts of the world. It is highly successful in streams as well as lakes and can be fished at any depth, at any time of the year, making it one of the most useful patterns to carry in one’s fly box.

Build Stages.

Hook: Kamasan B 830 / Tiemco TMC 5363
Hook size: 18 to 8

Tail: Brown cock hackle.

Ribbing: Fine copper wire.

Body: Possum fur & Antron dubbing blend.

Wing case: Mottled turkey wing.

Thorax: Possum fur & Antron dubbing blend.
